Diciannovesima edizione per i Wine Star Awards organizzati dalla rivista americana Wine Enthusiast. La redazione assegna i prestigiosi riconoscimenti ai vincitori di 16 diverse categorie, dal vignaiolo dell'anno, alla regione vinicola più bella, passando per la miglior cantina.
La cerimonia di premiazione si terrà nel corso di una serata di gala il 28 gennaio 2019 al Nobu Eden Roc di Miami. Intanto sono state svelate le nomination. E c'è anche un po' d'Italia. La Franciacorta corre come miglior regione vinicola dell'Europa; Pietro Ratti, barolista e piemontese, come vignaiolo dell'anno; la Cantina Paltrinieri di Sorbara, invece, è in lizza come miglior cantina europea.
