Without reserve, we are glad to announce: Sicily “en Primeur”, the event, organized every year by Assovini that is involved in wine production of Etna.The event plays to host to journalists from every part of the world and Etna represents the most interesting area for wine production. The choice was Etna, because Sicily “en Primeur” was lays over between vineyards of the highest volcano in Europe, that is also one of the most charming of the world.
Last months, “Cronache di Gusto” was anticipated some news about the location. Now we can confirm the location and the final date: on April 20-22, 2012.
This year, for the first time, the event will be on April, and this is something new, considering that since 2004 the event took place on March.
“We didn’t have a chance to choose another date, considering the calendary and a lot of appointments – said Antonio Rallo, Assovini Chairman- We have to take into account that Vinitaly will be on March and, moreover, on April the weather in Etna is certainly better”. The location would be Picciolo Golf Club in “Castiglione di Sicilia”, along the street that crosses Passopisciaro and Solicchiata, famous locations from Etna wines.
There are a lot of services and prices that have to be defined, but Picciolo owners have to understand the importance of the wine for important structures such as Castiglione di Sicilia.
